Sheriff Brown photoNewton County Sheriff's Office Year In Review

Newton County Sheriff’s Office concluded 2014 with a sense of continuity and trust. It was a remarkable year for the Sheriff’s Office as we continued to improve the services we provide to the county, while maintaining a flat budget. We increased greater patrol visibility; increased training opportunities and improved the day-to-day operations of the agency by ensuring and practicing sound policies and procedures. We galvanized support through our neighborhood watches and other community outreach activities. We made many improvements, implementing measures that are more effective and efficient.

As Sheriff, I would like to acknowledge the staff for their contributions to the Sheriff’s Office. They have proven to be dedicated to the mission of the agency; “dedicated and committed to enforcing the laws enacted for the protection of the lives’, persons, property, health and morals of all citizens in Newton County.” I would also like to acknowledge the community for their tremendous support and efforts in helping to make Newton County a safer place to live. We appreciate your input and assistance; and, we are happy to know our website and social media sites are useful to so many. In 2014, both the Sheriff's Office and community at large benefitted from our combined efforts to "serve and protect" the citizens of Newton County.

As we approach a new year, my commitment to the citizens of this county remains strong! I will continue to (1) carry out the fundamental obligations entrusted to me; (2) maintain the confidence placed in me; and, (3) work with you to build a better life for all who call Newton County, GA. "home"!
